Professional Bio
Matt Parnell specializes in rhetoric, affect, and race theory. Matt specifically studies the rhetoric of presidents as well as non-governmental organizations. Matt is specifically focused on interrogating the role that larger structural antagonisms including racism and sexism play within modern American politics. This research has led Matt to prioritize equity within the classroom as well as the larger Penn State community. Matt is currently working as a graduate teaching assistant within the department and works to ensure the success of all of his students.
