Integrated Undergraduate-Graduate Programs

The Department of Communication Arts and Sciences (CAS) is delighted to announce three new degree opportunities for CAS majors. Students in the CAS B.A. or B.S. degree program can pursue an M.A. in Media Studies, a Master of Public Policy degree (M.P.P.), or an M.S. in Human Resources and Employment Relations through an Integrated Undergraduate/Graduate Degree (IUG). When seeking an IUG, students start taking classes toward their master’s degree in the fourth year of their B.A. or B.S., allowing them to earn both degrees in a total of five years. Students who complete this program marry the expertise of Communication Arts and Sciences – which offers insight into how communication works in interpersonal, group, intercultural, public, and civic contexts, both historical and contemporary – with a master’s-level education in media studies, public policy, or human resources and employment relations.
