Professional Bio
Brian Manata specializes in the study of organizational behavior, especially as it occurs within groups and teams. Currently, he studies the effects of leadership behaviors, cohesion, and other group dynamics on group performance outcomes. His work adopts a quantitative perspective and has appeared in numerous academic journals, some of which include Human Communication Research, Journal of Leadership and Organizational Studies, and Group Dynamics: Theory, Research, and Practice. Professor Manata teaches courses on organizational communication (CAS 452W) and general communication theory (CAS 303).
