Professional Bio
Vanessa McLaughlin teaches CAS100A (Effective Speech) and CAS321 (Rhetoric and Law). She’s been teaching for 20 years at different universities, and 16 years at Penn State. Her background includes communications, brand promotion, content creation, journalism, and law. She lives in State College, with her husband, two sons. Because of her husband's career, she’s worked and traveled around the world including France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Morocco and Tunisia. Her goals for the future are to help students to become confident, effective communicators and listeners, who can promote understanding and compassion.
