Professional Bio
Youzhen Su is interested in persuasion, social influence, and health communication. She studies the role of social influence and psychological processes in shaping people’s risk perceptions and behavioral changes in the context of health and well-being. Her recent research examines how exposure to normative messages affects individuals’ cognitive, emotional, and behavioral outcomes. Her research has also examined how people respond to health and environmental risks in computer-mediated settings. Youzhen teaches Effective Speech (CAS100) at Penn State.
