CAS 321 – Rhetoric and Law

Get a head start on law school and a legal career as an undergraduate student. Build confidence, critical thinking, and public speaking skills essential for pre-law success by:

  • learning how attorneys persuade—effectively and ethically--by using powerful rhetorical strategies (ethos, pathos, logos)
  • analyzing legal cases and build arguments from evidence
  • developing opening statements, direct and cross-examinations, and closing argument
  • participating in full mock trials that bring the courtroom experience to life
