Adrienne Darrah is a Ph.D. candidate studying mass communications in the Penn State Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications. Adrienne holds a BA in art history, an MBA, and a Master of Public Administration all from Penn State. Adrienne teaches CAS 100 (Effective Speech) and has also taught PSU 006 (First Year Seminar) in the Smeal College of Business, COMM 420 (Research Methods in Ad/PR) in the Bellisario College of Communications, and COMM 100N (Mass Media and Society) and COMM 310 (Digital Media Metrics) for the Bellisario College of Communications through World Campus. Adrienne’s research interests center on the role of mass communications in fundraising and donor and alumni engagement and how communications relate to nonprofit organizational strategies and women’s roles in fundraising organizations. As an avid consumer of television programming, Adrienne is also interested in the cultural impact that television and commercials have on society.
