Alumni Receive Alumni Honoree Awards
Communication Arts and Sciences Alumni, Takeem Morgan ’05,‘15g, Angela Brosnan Ryan ‘11, and Lindsey Aloia, Ph.D. ‘13 have received Liberal Arts Alumni Honoree Awards from the Department of Communication Arts and Sciences, presented at the 2026 Alumni Awards Ceremony.
Takeem Morgan, recipient of the Outstanding Alumni Award, is senior director of communications at Prevent Child Abuse America, the nation’s leading child and family advocacy organization, a role he assumed in 2024. He earned his bachelor of arts in communication arts and sciences from Penn State in 2005 and his master of business administration with a focus on marketing strategy from Penn State in 2015.
Angela Brosnan Ryan, recipient of the Outstanding Academic Alumni Award, is an attorney, writer, and advocate whose practice spans child welfare law, maternal health, and healthcare accountability. She earned bachelors of arts degrees in communication arts and sciences, French and Francophone studies, and international studies from the Penn State Schreyer Honors College in 2011, and her juris doctor from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law in 2014.
Lindsey Aloia, recipient of the Outstanding Young Alumni Award, is associate dean of international education in the Graduate School and International Education and professor of communication at the University of Arkansas. She earned her doctor of philosophy in communication arts and sciences from Penn State in 2013, her master of arts in communication from the University of Delaware in 2009, and her bachelor of arts in communication studies and sociology from the College of New Jersey in 2007.
