Professional Bio
Dr. Ashley McDonald (she/they) is a rhetorician that studies critical race theory, queerness and disability studies, and a variety of topics related to the Black American Diaspora. Their research focuses on the intersection of organizational communication and rhetoric, most notably about colleges and universities and issues of race and diversity, and student advocacy. She also studies popular culture and representation.
She has taught many classes related to rhetoric including Public Speaking, Persuasion, Rhetorical Criticism, and Narratives from the Margins.
