Planning for Your Internship

Registration for internship credit (CAS 495) requires prior approval by the internship faculty coordinator, Dr. Peter Miraldi.  Planning for your internship experience should begin early in the semester prior to the one in which you plan to intern.

  1. Begin to think realistically about your potential internship position. What are your goals? What kinds of experiences will be most beneficial to you? What do you hope to learn? What do you have to offer a potential organizational sponsor? Consult with faculty members who are most familiar with your work and your interests and whose own teaching and research interests are most compatible with the goals of your internship.
