Kellie Marin is a doctoral candidate in Communication Arts and Sciences. She studies national security rhetoric with a theoretical focus on the role of affect and aesthetics in opening or foreclosing the potential for citizen participation within the national security state. Kellie has published in Communication and Critical/Cultural Studies and Rhetoric Society Quarterly. She has taught and assisted in a variety of undergraduate courses in public speaking, persuasion and propaganda, and critical media studies.
