Jen Buchan studies representations of artificial intelligence (AI) in myth and speculative fiction from antiquity to the present. She also studies logics of misogyny underwriting epidemics of violence in select digital communities, intimate partner abuse, and mass shootings. Her disciplinary investments include rhetorical theory, cultural studies, and future studies.

Jen Buchan is a graduate assistant in the Communication Arts and Sciences department, an instructor for CAS 100A, and a teaching assistant in CAS 301 and CAS 442.

Buchan is pronounced BYOO-can.
