Jessica Buterbaugh taught CAS 100B for four years as an adjunct instructor before joining the CAS department full-time. After earning her degrees, she developed a career in strategic communications working primarily for K-12 and higher education institutions, including Penn State. Before moving to the area, she also taught Intro to Communication Studies at Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Maryland.  Jessica’s professional interests include dialogue around social issues and she encourages her students to engage in these tough conversations.

Jessica lives in Huntingdon with her husband, daughter and rescue dog. She is an avid amateur photographer and enjoys being outdoors as much as possible.
