Professional Bio
Emily Caldes is a dual title PhD student in Communication Science and Bioethics. She studies interpersonal influence and health, communication ethics, and bioethics. Her research focuses on communication between healthcare provider’s and their patients, especially as it relates to information exchange and decision-making. She has taught a variety of undergraduate courses, including Communication Theory and Introduction to Bioethics. She has also taught interdisciplinary courses on Medical Ethics to graduate students.
