Shu “Scott” Li studies and conducts quantitative research in the realm of mass communication with a concentration in questions concerning the process and mechanism of persuasion, social influence, and media effects. In his most recent research project, Scott examined the potential influence of attitude ambivalence on the effectiveness of inoculation theory at enhancing attitude resistance. He has also participated in faculty-led research investigating the relationship between violent video game play and players’ psychological and physiological reactions. Scott has served as a teaching assistant in quantitative research method courses.
