PhD student selected to be 2020-21 Fellow in the Center for Humanities and Information

CELEBRATIONS!!

PhD student Jeff Nagel has been selected to be a 2020-21 Fellow in the Center for Humanities and Information. During his year-long fellowship, Jeff will work to complete his dissertation, entitled "Queering Absence: The Rhetoric of the Homophile Movement." The project interrogates how absences--such as silence or passing--work rhetorically to expand the possibilities of queer activism. In particular, he examines the gay rights movement of the middle of the 20th century, and through CHI hopes to utilize new archival avenues to help expand this research.

Congratulations, Jeff!
