PhD candidate given Honorable Mention for Outstanding Student Paper Award

CELEBRATIONS!! 

CAS PhD candidate Caroline Koons was given Honorable Mention by the selection committee for the Outstanding Student Paper Award by the NCA unit American Society for the History of Rhetoric for her paper, "Parrhesiac Voice: Freedom Riders, Singing Dissent, and Parchman Prison." The paper is an iteration of one of the chapters of her in-progress dissertation on harmony as a keyword of U.S. American civic culture.
