PhD alumnus recipient of Douglas W. Ehninger Distinguished Rhetorical Scholar Award

ALUMNI NEWS:

PhD alumnus Charles Morris, who is currently Professor and Chair in the Department of Communication and Rhetorical Studies at Syracuse University, was the recipient of the Douglas W. Ehninger Distinguished Rhetorical Scholar Award, conferred by the National Communication Association at the annual conference in November. The Ehninger Award honors scholars who have made a significant impact on the discipline through their research on rhetorical theory, rhetorical criticism, and/or public address. As a prolific and ground-breaking scholar, Professor Morris has “transformed the field, both through the recovery of others neglected GLBTQ rhetoric and through work to queer our understanding of rhetorical theory and criticism.”

Congratulations, Chuck!
