GRADS@WORK: PhD candidate accepts position as a Social Scientist with FDA

GRADS@WORK

PhD Candidate Kasey Foley recently accepted a position as a Social Scientist at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Center for Tobacco Products, Office of Compliance and Enforcement. In this role, Kasey will serve to combat the youth vaping epidemic by conducting and advising on research that assesses the impact of tobacco labeling, promotion, and advertising on public perceptions —particularly those targeting young consumers.

Her work will support the development of policy to prevent misbranded and adulterated products from further distribution and mitigate the tole of disease, disability and death caused by tobacco use.
