CAS Teaching Faculty promotions

The CAS Department is delighted to announce that five members of the teaching faculty have been promoted, effective immediately. Kathy Kile and Betsy Mills earned the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor based on their exceptional records of teaching CAS 100. Kyoko Matsumura and Marcy Milhomme are now Associate Teaching Professors. In addition to their excellent teaching, Dr. Matsumura contributes to the mission of the department through her development and leadership of courses that support ESL students, and Dr. Milhomme supervises both CAS 100A for Engineering majors and Lambda Pi Eta, the communication honors society housed in CAS. Finally, Chris Spielvogel has been promoted to Teaching Professor. Dr. Spielvogel maintains a significant program of research on rhetorics of dehumanization and public memory of war and peace, while also supervising the entrepreneurship as advocacy concentration of the intercollege minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

Congratulations Kathy, Betsy, Kyoko, Marcy, and Chris!
