CAS PhD Graduate to begin position as Assistant Professor

Newly-minted PhD Adam Cody will soon begin a position as an Assistant Professor of Rhetoric, Composition, and Oral Communication in the Virginia Military Institute’s Department of English, Rhetoric, and Humanistic Studies. In this role, Dr. Cody will support the Institute’s cadets as they cultivate habits of ethical and effective discourse. In addition, he will serve the Institute’s Writing Center as a specialist in oral and digital communication. Dr. Cody’s dissertation, “Corax in Chalk: A Discursive Ecology of Deipnosophistae,” was completed under the direction of Rosa Eberly, Associate Professor of Communication Arts & Sciences and English.
