CAS major to discuss gender-based violence from a global perspective

Friday, February 19th, at noon, CAS major Erin Brown — a Paterno Fellow and 2020 Stand Up Award Recipient — will discuss gender-based violence (GBV) from a global and local perspective. In her talk, Erin will discuss US foreign policy, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, marketplace feminism, and student activism to address sexual violence at Penn State. She will end with her vision of the actionable steps Penn State can take to address sexual violence and how students can become more involved. Come prepared to ask questions like, "How is the movement to end sexual violence intertwined with the movement for climate justice?" and "How can sexual violence be addressed on Penn State's campus?"
