CAS Department hosts Civic Engagement Public Speaking Contest

The Department is hosting the the biannual Civic Engagement Public Speaking Contest Thursday, December 10th beginning at 7:30pm, via a new digital format that makes it more accessible than ever! The round should last about an hour.

The final round, which will last approximately an hour) will be broadcast "live" through the Department YouTube account (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0x4AU94UPC-rNoMX4oP4MA). We invite you to view the broadcast and engage in real time on Twitter using the hashtag #SpeechPSU. A separate results video will be broadcast shortly after the first viewing of the final round video concludes.

We hope this revised format retains the feel of a real-time final round. We encourage you to join us and celebrate students' digital participation and the successful conclusion to this unusual semester. For those who cannot watch the round "live," both the contest and results video will remain available for viewing after the initial stream and live-tweeting event. We hope the video will provide a useful teaching aid in future semesters, and we hope to see you all there!
