You are here: Home / Graduate / Courses We Offer / CAS 597: Special Topics in Communication Science

CAS 597 denotes courses on Special Topics that are not always offered in a steady rotation as graduate seminars. Faculty develop courses in areas of special interest that allow students to explore topics not normally covered as part of our graduate catalog. Several courses that are now part of the permanent CAS graduate catalog began as Special Topics courses.

Previous Special Topics courses in the Communication Science track may cover cutting-edge methodological or statistical issues, apply communication theory to address current events, focus on questions of mutual interest to current graduate students and faculty, or be used as a “test launch” for a possible permanent course.

See below for the list of recent CAS 597 offerings in Communication Science. Click on the links in this page for more specific information on a particular course. Please inform the Director of Graduate Studies if you would like to see one of these Special Topics courses offered in the near future.
