CAS 506 - Rhetorics and Publics

Publics, Guns, and Money

Spring 2016's version of this seminar takes as its most urgent exigence the prospect -- and reality, in some states -- of campus carry and its consequences for higher education and wider publics.

Professor: Rosa A. Eberly

Combining foundational readings in rhetorical and publics theory with more recent work on counterpublics, queer publics, and public violence, this seminar will engage graduate students with interdisciplinary scholarship in rhetoric and publics theory and invite students to write for public as well as academic audiences and deliver their discourses through multiple media.

A special guest is scheduled to Skype in for at least one meeting of the seminar.
