
This seminar focuses on theory, concepts, and empirical findings related to how and why interpersonal interactions and relationships contributes to people's mental, physical, and psychological well-being. Although the seminar will include readings and concepts from psychology and sociology, the majority of the readings and discussion will focus on the role of messages and relationships in promoting well-being. Class discussion will focus on positive interactions that boost well-being and unproductive interactions that damage well-being.
