Adjunct Lecturer

The Department of Communication Arts and Sciences of The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for part-time openings as a member of the teaching faculty for Fall 2022Teaching is anticipated to be in-person in these semesters.

Job Duties

  • We seek part-time lecturers to teach undergraduate courses in Communication Arts and Sciences, principally in CAS 100 (Effective Speech). 

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in a related field is required.

 The start date for these openings is August 2022. These are one semester, non-tenure track appointments with the possibility of reappointment. Part-time lecturers normally teach one to two courses per semester and no more than five classes in an academic year.  For a more detailed description of the department, please visit our website at http://cas.la.psu.edu/.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
