STUDY ABROAD PROGRAM
Studying Abroad in St. Marten

Michelle Miller-Day is the director of the Field Study in Culture and Communication in St. Marten. The program will last from July 8th through thru 22nd. St. Marten is located in the eastern Caribbean in the Lesser Antilles. the experience will focus on comparing two cultures, the French and the Dutch, on one island. There will be observational field research, along with a focus on "writing culture".
There is also another intensive course, Comparative and International Justice: International Experience, that is offered from July 15th thru the 27th. L. Edward Day is the director. The course examines European Civil Law systems as practiced in France. Students will be able to observe court proceedings and meet with judges, prosecutors, and defense attorneys.
