Biography:

Travis Brisini’s scholarship exists at the intersection of Environmental Communication, Science Studies and Performance Studies. More specifically, he studies the role that communication plays in fostering healthy multispecies communities and engendering environmental stewardship. In light of this interest, he serves as the Assistant Director for the Penn State Intercollege Minor in Civic and Community Engagement. He teaches courses in the Foundations of Civic and Community Engagement, Small Group/Deliberative Communication, and Public Speaking. His published scholarship has appeared in a variety of journals and handbooks, while his live performance work and criticism is regularly presented in national venues.  He currently serves as the Book Reviews editor for the journal Text and Performance Quarterly.
