Biography:

Carson Brockette is a graduate student at Pennsylvania State University, where they study feminist and queer rhetorics especially as they pertain to social movements, protest, and resistance. Specifically, they are interested in issues of intersectionality and inclusion within queer and feminist protests and counter-rhetorics. Carson got their start in English composition and rhetoric at the University of North Texas, where they obtained their bachelor’s degree in December of 2016. Currently, Carson is working towards a master’s degree in Communication Arts and Sciences at Penn State. Additionally, Carson is teaching a section of CAS 100A (Effective Speech: Public Speaking Emphasis) this fall.
