Biography:

Bre Mapston is interested in the ways marginalized voices are portrayed in mediated forms of communication. She is particularly interested in the convergence of intersectional identities within social movements and digital spaces. Her thesis evaluates the online presence of the Black Lives Matter Global Network by analyzing the circulation and growth of the movement's ideologies.

Bre also enjoys teaching and has experience with CAS 100 A and CAS 201 (Introduction to Rhetorical Theory).
