Students will learn principles and theories related to nonverbal communication.  This will involve classroom learning as well as field experiments and short assignments. Each student will be expected to learn more about doing small research projects as well as many observations to enhance their understanding of the theories.

Course Objectives

  • To understand nonverbal functions in communication
  • To learn the meaning of nonverbal observations
  • To prepare students for success in identifying and understanding nonverbal communication
  • To create a video project that demonstrates findings on specific theories
