RESEARCH ACTIVITIES AND INTERESTS:

I specialize in the communicative behavior of individuals across the life span emphasizing older adults. I currenlty research how older adults interact within the health care delivery system and how relationships are shaped during the aging process. I serve as editor of the Journal of Communication, was a Fulbright scholar in the U.K., and am a fellow of the American Psychological Association (Division 20 Adult Development and Aging).
