Biography:
I am a crusader against bullet points and an evangelist for effective slide design. The main effective slide design that I teach is the Assertion-Evidence design, created, developed, and researched by Michael Alley, Associate Professor of Engineering Communication at Penn State. I am passionate about helping scientists and engineers give outstanding presentations because science not communicated is science not done. The future health, happiness, and safety of our world depends on the innovations of scientists and engineers and I want to help them tell the story of their work. I believe that well crafted presentations can be a catalyst for change. I am a committed TEDster. I am For The Glory of Penn State.
Courses I teach:
CAS 100A: Effective Speech for Engineers
ENGR 397A: Advanced Engineering Communication
