Josie Moore, won a 'president's fund for research' award($1000) for undergraduate research that she is working on with Dr. Rachel Smith. She is developing her paper on her special interest in stigma research. Stigma is a topic that has not been researched nearly enough and has major effects on society both in the United States and worldwide.She is very excited for the opportunity to further her education while furthering the study of stigma communication in a beginning effort to find a way to prevent stigma. This opportunity will open many doors for her both academically as well as professionally as a communication student and professional. |
