Visiting Professor in Communication Arts & Sciences - Communication Sciences

The Department of Communication Arts and Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University seeks a visiting
assistant, associate, or full professor for Fall and/or Spring semester of the 2017-2018 academic year. We are
seeking candidates whose expertise focuses on the social scientific study of interpersonal communication, family
communication, and /or organizational communication. The successful applicant will participate in the intellectual
life of the department and teach two courses per semester (a reduced load may be negotiated for individuals with
sabbatical funding from their home institution or similar circumstances). Possible classes include family
communication, interpersonal communication, organizational communication, nonverbal communication, the dark
side of interpersonal communication, and/or an undergraduate or graduate seminar in the individual’s area of
expertise. Applications must be submitted electronically and include a letter of application describing areas of
expertise and teaching experience, along with a CV, and evidence of teaching excellence. Applicants should also
identify three or more references, who may be contacted to provide letters of recommendation. Review of
