Nina Boscia

Class of 2015, Schreyer Honors College & the College of the Liberal Arts
Major: Communication Arts and Sciences
Minors: Italian, Sociology

After graduating from Penn State in May of 2015, I moved to Washington, D.C. to pursue a master’s degree in Strategic Communication at American University. I am currently in the midst of completing foundational courses in writing, theory, research, and principles for strategic communications in preparation for elective and specialized courses next semester. This one year master’s program is designed for students who are interested in an array of different communicative fields. I am also currently the communications intern at an organization called ‘Think Local First DC,’ a group that works with independently owned businesses, consumers, and policymakers to grow a thriving, local economy in the DC-metro area. After graduating from American University in 2016, I hope to pursue a career in corporate communications or communications consulting.

Though I’ve moved to Washington, D.C., my experiences in the CAS department at Penn State will always be with me. The faculty and administration is unparalleled, and I feel lucky to have been a part of such a great department. The CAS department has shaped me both personally and professionally, and it’s because of the people there that I felt prepared to take on new challenged and opportunities!
